Welcome and Hello! I'm Ms. Brouse, School Counselor for Danville and Riverside Elementary Schools. Below is a little bit about me outside of school.

I live outside of a little town called Turbotville. I have a daughter in the 5th grade at the Warrior Run Middle school and a son in 2nd grade at Turbotville Elementary. We have a dog named "Sunny" and two kittens, "Snowflake" and "Lily". As a family we love to travel.... to my family's cabin outside of Montoursville, to the beaches at the Outer Banks, Ocean City (MD), Virginia Beach, to the slopes at Ski Saw Mill, Tussey Mtn., Poconos, and of course to our (or should I say MY) favorite ice creameries! This year we are trying a new adventure. As a team we have entered the 'Chilli Challenge' (mini-triathlon) at the Montour Perserve. Go 'Team Can Do'!!!

I love ICE CREAM, peanut butter and 'fluff'. I try to balance this out with my interest in cross-training (running, biking, swimming, weightlifting).

Our family dog "Sunny" is in the process of acquiring her certification in "Dog Therapy". As part of her training she currently attends DES with me on days I am scheduled to be there. As you can imagine she is quickly becoming a favorite here at DES :)

This is my seventh year working in the district and I love it! I enjoy all aspects of my various roles in working with children. I believe the elementary years are the foundation blocks of their future (school, career and life)! It's up to each of us to provide an atmosphere that cultivates a positive relationship between a student and learning.

Educational Background - I received an undergraduate degree in Social Work from Mansfield University in 1991. In 2001 I received my Masters Degree in Education with a certification in School Counseling K-12 from Bucknell University.
